Beside being a professional performer and composer, Vicéns is also an active painter. He is currently studying with re-known painters Pat Lipsky and Ronnie Landfield at The Art Students League of New York and exhibiting his works around the city. Vicéns work is influenced by the culture he was exposed to growing up in Puerto Rico and abstract art from all over the world.

"As a Latin American artist coming from an island where we have influences from indigenous people, Africa, Spain and the United States, my art is naturally a cultural blend of ideas, traditions and beliefs. Painting and drawing have always been a part of my life and another way of expressing myself. In my work, I create figures that are related to each other by space and movement, and then carefully choose colors to create emotional and thoughtful compositions. I really don't know how a finished work will look until the end. For me, it's always a mystery, and that's the way I like it”.
